    1. Layout the door on two sawhorses, and then prep.

    2. Draw out the shapes, and then cut. Note: Pieces cut into thirds to approximately 26 inches wide and two end tables should be split to 22 3/4 inches wide.

    3. Cut the curves using a jigsaw (figure G), and two small straight lines with a circular saw.

    4. Apply auto filler to the sides (figure H) in order to prevent chip wood from coming out.

    5. Prep the legs by cutting spindles to size—16 inches each. Ensure that the legs are all the same length.

    6. Paint the legs a gold color, and the tables a reddish color.

    7. Attach the legs (figure I). Screw double-sided lag screws into the tops of the legs. Determine the placement on the table bottom, and then screw to the table. Attach the corner brackets at two adjacent locations to hold the legs off the table.

    8. Treat the tabletops. Using paint pens, draw a vine design on the surface of the tables (figure J). Spray polyurethane to seal.

    Project Expense:

    Door: $10
    Spindle Legs: $25
    Materials and Paint: $9

    Total: $44
