1. The crew removes the old pediment and trim, then positions the new pediment. The pediment is positioned as desired--checked for level--and marked figure A).2. Next, the crew measures from the mark made at the bottom of the pediment to the stoop (figure B). The pilasters are marked and cut with a handsaw. The cut pilasters are held against the brick surface of the home and two holes are marked at the top and middle of each pilaster.
