    Bedtime Storage

    A headboard is assembled out of plywood, and a wall piece made from a discarded window is hung on the wall above the bed.

    Shelving

    1. Remove the bottom piece of plywood and replace with a piece cut to 7' 2".

    2. Creating the bottom:

    3. Cut two pieces of plywood to 2' 8" high, eleven inches wide.

    4. Cut two pieces of plywood to 65 inches long and 10 inches wide.

    5. Screw 2' 8" pieces to the bottom of the shelf at 65 inches apart.

    6. Screw the 65 inch pieces to each side—flush (figure C).

    7. Add molding. Cut the pieces to size and attach using glue and tap nails.

    8. Fill the holes with wood putty, and then stain.

    Window Art

    1. Clean, sand, strip, and then reinforce the window with "L" brackets.

    2. Paint the frame.

    3. Cut the art to size, and then place the printed side down on the windows.

    4. Staple the fabric taut to the backside of the window (figure D).

    5. Attach the lighting by screwing four lights to the top of the window (figure E).
