Paint the window seats used in the "Playland" episode, "Totally Tan".

Bring the top surface of the existing window seat parallel with the top of the dry sink surface by adding a simple plywood "cubby" box (matching the existing depth and length dimensions of the window seat) to the bottom of the window seats.

    1. Cut a piece of 4 x 8 plywood to the following dimensions; four pieces to 16" x 29 1/2" long, four pieces to 16" x 12" tall.

    2. Construct a plywood box that is 16" x 31" x 12" tall by sandwiching the two 29 1/2 inch pieces of 12" x 16" plywood and attaching with wood glue and nails (figure H).

    3. Paint the plywood box to match the window seat using "Totally Tan".

    4. Stack the window seat on top of the 12" x 16" x 31" box (figure I), and then drill into the cubby through the inside bottom of the window seat with 10 – 1 1/2 inch wood screws.

    5. Add decorative storage boxes underneath the cubby. Paint the pine boxes from the "Just Peachy" episode "Leather Bound".
