1. Purchase a piece of pine plywood 35" x 48" long.2. Paint the plywood to match the furniture using "Totally Tan".
3. Create curved detailsix inches at the deepestusing a jigsaw (figure F).
4. Attach the plywood to the front 3/4 inch edge of the top of the dry sink using a 48 inch long piano hinge.
5. Add "props" which will hold the drop leaf in place by drilling two 16 inch ball bearing slider hinges--capable of holding 100 pounds--to the sides of the dry sink, directly underneath the existing top using one inch screws.
6. Attach two pieces of 1 x 2 poplar lumber--painted "Totally Tan"to the slider hinges (figure G) at the pre-marked holes. When slid out, the 1 x 2's and slider hinges will prop up the drop leaf and hold it parallel to the existing dry sink surface.
