Canopy Curtains

Elegant curtains are made and attached to PVC pipe to hang from the bed canopy.

Canopy Bed with Curtains Closed

Materials:

4 pieces of 3/4" PVC pipe
4 3/4" 90 degree elbows
4 84" rod pocket curtains in heavy, opaque material
4 84" rod pocket translucent curtains of a coordinating color
4 1" tea cup hook and eyes

1. Cut two pieces of PVC to 77 inches, and two pieces to 40 3/4 inches.

2. Attach the PVC with elbows to create a four-sided curtain rod (figure G).

3. Install hooks on the underneath side of the canopy—one hook per side.

4. Attach corresponding eyes to each of the four PVC lengths (figure H).

5. Add curtains to the PVC using the pocket, placing the opaque curtains at the end of each long side—these will be at the "head" of the bed, and at the corners. The translucent curtains should be along the two long sides, and on the short "back" side (figure I).

6. Hang the PVC pipe using the hook and eye system.

7. Tie back the curtains using decorative ribbon.
