    Barn Door Sliders

Barn door sliders will allow the panels to be moved from in front of the window.

    Materials:

    sliding barn door hardware
    2 8' standard box track
    6 face-mount single track bracket
    4 yoke-type nylon bearing hanger
    picture wire
    double-sided adhesive pads

    1. Start the installation by locating and marking the studs on the window wall.

    2. Measure the wall, and then cut the two tracks to fit.

    3. Attach the yoke-type hangers to the plywood panels, two for each panel.

    4. Attach the trucks to the hangers, making sure they hang the same two inch distance.

    5. Install the first half of the track. Mark a level line for both tracks about two inches above where you want the plywood panels to hang. Holding the first track on the line, lag bolt the track brackets into the studs.

    6. Hang both of the plywood panels by inserting the trucks into the first piece of track.

    7. Install the second half of the track (figure E). Line up this track with the first half, and then lag bolt it into place.

    8. Roll the panels into the center.

    9. Line up the artwork so that the two canvases meet in the center (figure F). Hang the artwork using picture wire and double sided adhesive pads.
