Bed Update

The bed from the previous episode gets a makeover to coordinate with the rock n' roll theme.

Paint:

Burgundy SW6300
Silver Metallic – American Tradition #99734

Materials:

aluminum diamond plate
5/8" and 2" screws

	Burgundy colored paint and silver metallic shelving bring this bed to life.
	Headboard shelving

1. Remove the tube railings and surfboard shelves that were installed from the previous episode.

2. Repaint the bed frame with "Burgundy".

3. Remove the flame decals from the shelves and save them.

4. Using a jigsaw or a circular saw, trim the shelves to a rectangular shape. The length of the shelf should be about 49 inches.

5. Paint the shelf with silver metallic paint.

6. Reattach the lower shelf using the existing fixtures and 5/8 inch screws.

7. Cut the aluminum tread plate to create a headboard that will fit between the two shelves.

8. Attach the tread plate to the bed using two inch wood screws.

9. Reattach the upper shelf.

10. Reattach the tube railings.
