Materials:
24"x36" canvas-covered frames

1. Paint all of the trim black.2. Paint the canvases a bright red color such as "Heartthrob" (figure G).
3. Add black trim to all sides of the canvas using one inch wire brad nails.
4. Using a spackling spatula-knife, apply a darker color to the canvas such as "Arresting Auburn". Dip the edge of the knife into the paint and dragging the spatula across the canvas at random creating your own unique pattern.
5. Take images of your child playing an instrument, and then scan the images into your computer.
6. Resize the image to 8" x 10".
7. Take the image into a graphics program (Adobe Photoshop was used in this project). Select the following commands; Filter, Stylize, Solarize and Glowing Edges.
8. Select Artisitc, Neon Glow, and then under Filter, select Render and Lens Flare.
9. Save the image as "high resolution".
10. Send the image to the printer. From Page Setup, select Poster Print. Note: Most print drivers have a "poster print" function. This will automatically divide your original 8 x 10 image into equal size 8 x 10 prints.
11. After the images are printed, attach them to the canvas using spray adhesive or contact cement.
12. Mount the canvases to the wall using two picture hooks.
