Diamond Plate Tread Valance

Diamond plate tread is attached to accent the windows giving them an industrial feel.

A diamond plate tread valance adds a unique touch to the room.

Materials:

aluminum diamond plate tread
jigsaw with metal blade
1/2" screws
drill bit
cordless drill or screwdriver

1. Cut the diamond plate to the desired size. A good measurement would be to cut it four inches wider than the width of the window and 1/3 the height.

2. Drill four pilot holes through the aluminum for mounting to the window frame.

3. Screw the diamond plate tread to the window frame using 1/2 inch screws (figure K).
