Installation of Shelves and Windows1. Start at the floor, and then work upwards. Adjust for level at every upright (figure G).
2. Attach wood to the studs in the wall by toe-nailing from the underside of the shelves. Again, make sure that everything is level.
3. Once the shelving is in place, you can run rigging for the windows.
4. Determine the placement of anchor points by measuring the height of the windows.
5. Attach anchoring points to the wall with heavy duty drywall anchors. Anchoring points were made by attaching an eyebolt to a galvanized steel cap, which is attached to a one inch galvanized nipple attached to a galvanized flange. The flange is what is screwed to the wall.
6. Measure the distance across the room from anchor to anchor.
7. Cut and assemble the rigging pieces accordingly.
8. Use 1/8 inch aircraft cable, compression sleeves, thimbles and turnbuckles for tension adjustment.
9. Run the aircraft cable through the eyelets on top of the windows, and then hook onto the anchor.
10. Bring the cable into tension using turnbuckles.
