An under-the-sea feeling is created in a boy's nursery by using cool green and blue combinations on the wall--and by adding "fishy" accents.
Paint:Cloudburst SW6487 Raindrop SW6385 Any of the following paints can be used in step #4: Easy Green SW6450 Cilantro SW6453 Fusion SW6919 Tanager SW6601 Hopeful SW6597 Tigereye SW6362 Jonquil SW6914 Eye Catching SW6914 Materials: small plywood craft fish
- Start by painting the wall and ceiling "Raindrop".
- Make the wave pattern by tracing onto the wall or free-handing. Trace the pattern onto the wall completely around the room.
- Using "Cloudburst", cut in the edge of the wave pattern, and then paint the area below (figure A).
- Paint the plywood fish (figure B) using any of the paint colors listed above. Use one color for the body of the fish, and another for the tail and fins. Add accent marks such as eyes and gills.
- To create the bubbles, pour some "Easy Green" paint onto a plastic plate. Using a foam coffee cup, swirl the wide rim in the paint and transfer it to the wall where you want bubbles. Use the small end of the cup for small bubbles (figure C), and a bottle cap for even smaller bubbles.
