Kim Busheff chose two freestanding vanities to replace the old one. The modern design complements the Mediterranean theme but they run into problems when they get to the plumbing.Materials:

- Remove the old vanity and prepare your plumbing for the new vanity.
- Set a rubber washer over the hole, and set the basin on the countertop (figure A) check level before you tighten the basin down.
- Drop your stopper into place and attach underneath the counter.
- Drop your faucet into place and attach under the counter to the pipes, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Move your vanities into place (figure B) and check plumb and level, shim if necessary.
- Attach your supply hoses to your water supply and your sink drain to your P-trap to the wall plumbing (figure C). Use plumber's tape for a tight, leak-free fit.
- Run water to check for leaks.
