Materials: insulation poly sheeting respirator mask hammer stapler safety glasses gloves insulation tape Insulating Walls 1. Cut insulation to length of stud cavity and push it back in place, then pluck it back out flush with the cavity (figure A). You don't want to have any voids. 2. Cover the walls with four mil all-purpose poly sheeting. Use a hammer stapler to hang it (figure B). 3. If any cuts are made in the plastic, such as around electrical boxes, seal them off with insulation tape (figure C).
