Marble Countertop, Sink and Faucet Installation From "Bathroom Renovations" episode DBTR-309

The cultured marble countertop is prepared for the faucets and custom sinks, then the new countertop is secured to the existing vanity.

Marble Countertop, Sink and Faucet Installation

1. Measure and mark for sink and faucet cutouts, which can be cut out with a hole saw (figure A).

2. Drop the faucet supply lines into place and add the provided washers and nuts to secure the faucet to the counter (figure B).

3. Dryfit countertop and use a jigsaw to modify cabinet so the countertop will fit flush against the wall (figure C).

4. Pull countertop away from wall and run a bead of clear silicone along the top of the vanity (figure D) and set countertop back into place.

5. Place rubber washer around drain hole to act as a cushion (figure E).

6. Wrap drain stem with Teflon tape and screw the stem into the sink. Tighten the lock nut with a crescent wrench (figure F).

7. Attach the supply lines to the shut-off valves (figure G).
