Rough-In Shower Plumbing
1. Cut the old supply lines with a close-quarter tubing cutter (figure A)
2. Run new copper supply lines for the control valve.
3. Attach the control valve to a backer board (figure B).
4. Flux the copper and fittings, then solder all the joints (figure C).
5. Wrap teflon tape around the threaded copper fittings (figure D) and hand-tighten them to the valve, then use adjustable wrenches to make the seal water-tight (figure E).
