Tub Deck and Shower Wall Installation

    1. Build the tub deck in place to be sure the top is level.

    2. Based on the installation instructions, measure out from the wall the width of the tub (figure A). Secure the bottom plate to the floor with a framing nailer (figure B).

    3. Lay top plate on bottom plate and mark stud locations 16" apart (figure C).

    4. Nail stud to wall making sure it is level (figure D), then fill in the middle with studs (figure E).

    5. Build shower wall and attach to cleats in wall (figure F). Check for plumb.

    Setting Shower Pan

    1. Use a reciprocating saw to cut holes in the floor for the shower base, which comes pre-plumbed.

    2. Then, simply set the shower pan in place (figure G).
