Shower Panel and Sink Installation From "Bathroom Renovations" episode DBTR-212

Shower Panel Installation

1. Apply a strip of closed-foam, double-sided tape to the bottom of an aluminum u-channel (cut to length for the window opening) (figure A).

2. Remove the cover strip and press the channel into place on the tile surface (figure B).

3. Run a bead of silicone on the inside of the channels (figure C) and press them onto the edges of the panel (figure D).

4. Remove the cover strips, and carry the window into position (figure E).

5. With the window in place, press the channels firmly against the tile (figure F).

6. Run a strip of screen spline in the channel on the dry side of the window, securing it in place (figure G).

Sink Installation

1. Place the stand against the wall so the sink will be centered over the plumbing (figure H).

2. Mark the bolt holes with a marker.

3. Remove the stand and drill pilot holes for the lag bolts (figure I). There should be a support backer board behind the wall to hold the weight of the sink.

4. Replace the vanity piece and drive the lag bolts (figure J) into the wall using a right angle impact driver with a socket attachment.

5. Set the sink bowl on the base (figure K).
