Floor Tile with Inlaid Pattern1. Measure 12 inches off the wall and draw a straight line to mark the edges of the inlay pattern (figure A). 2. Apply thinset with a quarter-inch square notch trowel inside the lines of the inlay pattern (figure B). Be careful not to cover the layout lines.
3. Begin tiling the inlay area (figure C). 4. Once the inlay is laid, lay the surrounding field tiles (figure D).
