Track Lighting Installation From "Bathroom Renovations" episode DBTR-206

Amy and Rachel hang new track lighting to finish off the bathroom’s new look.

Cabinet Cut Down

Speed square
Japanese pull saw
Hammer and nails
Rubber mallet
Level
Screwdriver
Circular saw

Paint Cabinet Doors

Random orbital sander
Sanding sponge
Primer
Paintbrush
Denatured alcohol
Water
Paint
Poly sealant

Install Faucets

Hole saw
Silicone
Saw horses
Painter’s tape
Wrench
Tape measure
Marker

Install Track Lighting

Mounting hardware
Screwdriver
Tape measure
Pencil
Drill with 1/2 inch spade bit
Hammer
Screwdriver

Track Lighting Installation

1. Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling (figure A).

2. Snap the track into the bracket (figure B).

3. Measure out from the wall to make sure both sides of the track are equal distance from the wall (figure C).

4. Mark the support holes with a pencil.

5. Drill holes on the marks with a 1/2 inch spade bit.

6. Install screw anchors into the holes.

7. Swing the track into position, and tap the anchors into place with a hammer, and tighten.

8. Slide and snap the lights onto the track (figure D).
