    Continuing on with the renovation, some of the floor tiles needed to be replaced. So, we got to it!

    Materials:

    Tin Ceiling

    miter saw
    tin snips
    hammer
    steel nails
    construction adhesive
    chalk line
    measuring tape
    2-1/2" deck screws

    Sink Replacement

    plumber’s putty
    pipe wrench
    drill
    Teflon tape

    Floor Tile Replacement

    chisel
    thin-set
    putty knife
    sponge

    Framing Mirror

    tape measure
    nail gun
    1-1/2" screws
    screw gun
    wood putty
    silicone

    Replacing Floor Tiles

    1. With a chisel, remove any loose tiles around the focused area (figure A).

    2. Remove any debris.

    3. Make a small batch of thin-set.

    4. Let thin-set sit for about 10 minutes. Then, apply it to the area (figure B).

    5. Back-butter each tile individually (figure C) and place them with a bit of pressure until they are level with the existing tiles (figure D).

    6. Wipe excess thin-set off with a wet sponge (figure E).

    7. Gently push down the tiles one last time.
