Determine the height at which the faucet will be mounted to the wall (figure A). Put a plywood backer in place so the faucet has something sturdy to attach to. 2. Drill a pilot hole from the access wall in the adjacent bedroom (figure B). Get as close to the stud as you can while allowing room for the plumbing. Drill through the cultured marble (figure C). This is the hot water side of the faucet.
3. Measure the distance between the hot and cold on the faucet (figure D), and transfer that measurement to the wall. Use a torpedo level to make sure the holes are even (figure E).
4. Drill another pilot hole, this one for the cold side of the faucet, through the cultured marble. Put a stop collar on the drill to keep it from going too deep and hitting the plumbing (figure F).5. Use a hole saw to cut through the cultured marble (figure G).
6. Slide the faucet into place (figure H) and tighten the bolts (figure I).
Patch Drywall1. Mark off area to trim with a carpenters square (figure J). 2. Trim the lines using a circular saw (figure K).
3. Cut pieces of drywall to fill hole (figure L) and secure with drywall screws (figure M).
4. Apply self-adhesive fiberglass mesh tape to the seams (figure N), and fill the holes with quick-set mud (figure O).
