Plans for Renovating the BathroomLarry, the homeowner, is an ER doctor and he purchased an old '70s style house that needed a lot of work. His friend, Jorj, is a contractor and helped him come with up a plan for the new bathroom. - To get to the bathroom it is like going through a maze with the walls covered with foil wallpaper. The tub was in the floor by a large window and it had a stone finish all around it. So, Larry and Jorj removed everything from the bathroom and that was no small project.
- Jorj and his crew put up the new framework (figure A). They also installed the new plumbing and electrical.
- The plans for the renovation are to add a tiled tub deck (figure B). Lay down a floor warming system that is covered with a stamped and designed concrete.
- They will set porcelain and slate tile.
- Install an electronic shower system that is controlled with a keypad (figure C), and a computerized bathtub. The computerized bathtub allows you to preset the water level, temperature, and you have chromatherapy lighting (lets you choose the color of water you want to sit in).
- They are going to install body jets, a hand-held shower, an overhead showerhead (figure D), and install a steam feature.
- They will install double vanities with vessel sinks and cherry cabinetry.
- A new electronic toilet will be installed, and some futuristic features that you will have to see to believe -- like a lighted showerhead, and a mirror with an integrated LCD TV that just looks like a regular mirror when the TV is off.
- The homeowner is going to install a porcelain that looks like plain granite, and a Brazilian granite (figure E) for the vanity.
