    Figure D
Grouting the Tile and Assembling the Vanity

    1. The grout came with the tile flooring and it is in a pressurized can. Squeeze the grout out of the pressurized can into the tile joints (figure A). A little excess in the joints is okay.

    2. Hold the float at a 45-degree angle and smooth it over the grout (figure B). Spread any excess into any open spaces in the joints.

    3. Squeeze the water out of the sponge, then use the soft side to wipe excess grout off the tiles before it dries. It is difficult to get the grout off once it dries, so try to get it all off with the wet sponge.

    4. The homeowners ordered a vanity and cabinets that are open. To assemble the vanity, lay out the pieces.

    5. Place the chrome rail in the bottom frame and into the joints of the frame, screw the posts that are a part of the cam locking system.

Note: Most flat-packed furniture uses this kind of cam system for easy assembly. You can save money on flat-packed furniture because it is easier to ship and the manufacturer does not have to assemble it

    6. Fill dowel holes with a little wood glue, then gently tap the dowels into place.

    7. Set wood bracket in place and tighten the cam with a screwdriver (figure C).

    8. Most joints of the stand go together in the same way.

    9. Drop the top frame into place, then tighten all the cam pieces.

    10. Turn the vanity upright, then carefully drop the sink into the frame (figure D).

In the final segment the finishing touches to the soft contemporary bathroom will be applied.
