    Permanent Children's Art

This is a great way to save your child's art forever!

    Materials:

    Child's art
    Kraft paper
    Tracing pencil
    Wood
Jigsaw or carving knife (to cut the wood)
    White paint
    Tracing paper
Craft paints (colors of your choice)
    Thin dowel rod
    Flowerpot
    Floral foam
Straw (or pot filler of your choice)
    Fun foam
    Glue

    1. Stencil your child's artwork onto a piece of kraft paper and cut it out.

    2. Cut the wood to match the piece of art.

    3. Place the cutout on a piece of wood and trace with a pencil, then carve with a jigsaw or carving knife.

    4. Paint the wood white.

    5. Use tracing paper to transfer the art design onto the wood, then paint.

    6. Place the floral foam in the bottom of the pot, stick the dowel rod in and cover with a filler (straw, etc.) of your choice.

    7. Glue the dowel rod to the back of the wood.

    Personalized Sweatshirts

    • Place a piece of cardboard inside a sweatshirt and tape the sleeves down on the back of the sweatshirt.

    • Cut out a square of self-adhesive paper and cut the face out of the middle (figure A).

    • Paint the face with a sponge, using brown acrylic paint.

    • Have your child place his or her hand in brown acrylic paint and, to create the antlers, spread the fingers out wide, pressing down at the top of the face, then lifting the hands.

    • Create the ears with a sponge.

    • To make the nose and eyes, cut small round pieces of sponge and dip in red acrylic paint for the nose and green for the eyes; glue to the sweatshirt.

    • The final touch is to glue a ribbon with a bell at the bottom of the face.
