    Hard Wiring the Power Pack

    1. If using a non-hand held controller, it will need to be hard wired, which allows the power pack to be taken in and out of the weather.

    2. Use trailer connectors (figure A) to connect the wires to the power pack itself.

Note: Trailer Connectors have polarity, which means they can't be connected wrong.

    3. Wire one section of track one way and the other the opposite direction. This keeps total polarity with the whole track.

    4. One set goes to the layout and the other to the transformer.

    5. Split wires apart and then strip the ends about 1/2" to make the connections.

    6. The green and yellow goes to the arc power of the layout. This is for the special effects on the layout.

    7. Crimp connectors onto wires. Then slide underneath screws on power pack and tighten down screws.

    8. Take track connectors and connect to the wires of the plug (figure B).

    9. Plug into the connector that is wired to the power pack.
