Project On Growing teaches homeless people the skills needed to help feed themselves. Actress and singer Eartha Kitt is involved in the project, sharing with participants her love of the earth. Eartha believes that when people cultivate the soil, plant seeds and harvest food they grew themselves, they place a greater value on the earth. Through Project On Growing, homeless people gain both skills and edible produce, which they can preserve or sell.
