    Use pieces of homegrown herbs to garnish salads and casseroles. Clip a few end pieces of rosemary, for example, and tuck them under a plate of sliced tomatoes ( figure A). Or tie a few branches of rosemary together with string, dip into oil and use to baste meat on the grill. A few sprigs of dill or a few slivers of basil leaves also make good garnishes.
