Her friend and neighbor, Bruce Murray, built a window box for her side. But the other side has no window box. So that makes the garden appear even more lopsided. She also doesn't know what to plant in the window boxes. Things that she's planted before have died.
She planted a hydrangea in front, but it's droopy and not growing well.
On the other side is the Oxford House, a group homes for men who are recovering from alcoholism and substance abuse. Since the residents stay only a short time, the other half of the garden is sometimes neglected. However, if Garden Sense does some work, some of the residents are willing to help - and Jenny is willing to take care of the entire front garden after we're finished.
She wants an elegant garden to match the Italianate historic architecture and trim colors of the home.
