When adding garden accents, it's time to think out of the box. Look for unusual containers and materials to combine with traditional garden elements when adding hardscapes to the garden. Elements here include the following:
- Pedestal containers with a modern cubist shape.
- Bowling balls, in a dark shade, half buried in the garden (figure A).
- Ceramic chimney flues are used as low table legs and topped with a stone slab (figure B).
- Sandstone steppers wander through the foliage to the table.
