White Dome Hydrangea Hydrangea arborescens 'White Dome' True to its name, this Hydrangea has white dome-shaped flowers that arrive in mid-summer. The plant grows 4 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. It requires regular watering and does well in zones 4-9. Cost : $40.Maintenance Tip: Mulch around the Hydrangea to keep the roots cool.

Silver Dragon Liriope Liriope spicata 'Silver Dragon' This Liriope has green leaves with silvery stripes. It grows about 10 inches high and 15 to18 inches wide. Silver Dragon liriope is a great plant for groundcover or edging. Expect pale purple flowers in summer followed by berries. It does well in zones 6-11. Cost: $378 for 47.Maintenance Tip: Remove old foliage in early spring before new leaves emerge.
