Steps1. Attach two 2"x4"x53" side boards to ends of the 2 2"x4"x7'11" to create a box.
2. Insert the remaining 2"x4"'53" side boards between the frame to give it added strength.
3. Add the two 2"x6"x8'3" outside long boards and the two 2"x6"x8'3" to the outside edge of the frame. Add so that one 2" side is flush with one 2" side of the original box frame. On the opposite side there will now be a 2" lip. That is correct.
4. Drop in the five 1"x12"x 7'7" slates. The mattress will eventually rest on this platform.
5. Place platform in frame.

1. Attach the sides of two 1"x2"x10" strips to one of the 1"x12"x12" box end flush to opposite sides and toward one side, creating a wider anchor to attach the 1"x12"x57" long board.
2. Attach the 1"x12"x57" long board to the anchor side of the 1"x12"x12" box end on each side, making a box.
3. Staple landscape fabric to bottom of box.
4. Place and anchor to head of bed.

4. Place and anchor to foot of bed.
