This episode of Weekend Landscapingfinds host Jessie Mack Burns designing a pathway that will delight the senses and direct the eye, as she creates an allee, the French term for path. This pathway will connect two landscaped areas, a framed archway with planting beds (figure A) and a conversation / fire pit (figure B), both seen in previous episodes of Weekend Landscaping.The path will incorporate unique materials that will make you feel as if you've stepped into an exotic location somewhere in time. Strong, vertical elements along the allee combine with palms and interesting plants to draw the eye from one focal point to the next in a smooth transition.
