When it comes to garden gloves, the right kind for the job is key.
"The Real Dirt" on Garden Gloves

Gardening gloves serve an important purpose, and being fashionable is not one of them. They protect your hands from thorns, bugs and chemicals, but choosing the right garden gloves depends on the type of garden work you'll be doing. Wearing the wrong gloves for the job can make for a big a nuisance.

Here are the basic types of gardening gloves:

Cotton gloves are best suited for doing light gardening like planting and weeding.

Heavy rubber gloves are more durable and are useful for off-season work when it's cold and muddy.

Leather gloves are the strongest and most long-lasting. They can last through two or three seasons.
