These plates are especially attractive when a group are displayed featuring complementary themes or colors.

DIY Crafts host Debbie Stapley add a fruit motif to plates using a plaster relief technique.

    Materials:

    Plaster
    Plaster Molds
    Mixing Stick
    Mixing Bucket
    Plates (with plain white centers)
    Ceramic Paint
    Ceramic Adhesive
    Plate Hangers

    1. First, prepare the plaster according to the manufacturer's directions and pour into molds.

    2. Allow to dry and pop out shapes. Paint white (or color of choice).

    3. Allow painted shapes to dry thoroughly and use ceramic adhesive to adhere to plate's surface.

    4. After shapes have adhered, use plate hangers to hang plates where desired.
