Craft expert Kathy Peterson demonstrates a decorative way to embellish a fishbowl, using Gallery GlassB. Paint.

    Materials:

    Glass fishbowl
Gallery Glass Paint (a variety of colors, including yellow, orange, blue and green)
    Plastic sheet or mat
    Palette knife
Pictures of fish from a coloring book or magazine
    Scissors
    Black marker
    Craft knife

    1. Squirt yellow and orange Gallery Glass Paint onto a plastic sheet or mat in a swirling motion, overlaying the colors.

    2. Spread the paint evenly over the plastic sheet with a palette knife, mixing the colors together (figure A). When the paint dries, it can be removed from the sheet in one piece. Squeeze out different color combinations on plastic sheets, and let the paint dry (figure B).

    3. Make a starfish from blue Gallery Glass Paint by squeezing out a dot of paint and drawing out star points from the center of the dot with the tip of the paint bottle (figure C).

    4. Lift the paint off the plastic mat. It will have a translucent look and the consistency of pliable plastic. Cut off a small piece of the paint, place it over a picture of a fish, trace around the image with a black marker, and cut out with scissors. Or simply cut freehand shapes (figure D).

    5. Stick the paint onto the outside of a fishbowl. The consistency of the paint allows it to adhere to the glass without adhesive. The motifs may be repositioned as desired (figure E).

    6. Continue cutting other underwater images from the paint, such as seaweed, bubbles and starfish, using scissors or a craft knife. Place them on the fishbowl (figure F).
