Be as elaborate or as simple as you wish with the frosted designs. Here's an elegant but simple design by Debbie Stapley, host of DIY Crafts.

    Materials (figure A):

Glass piece (such as a vase or pitcher)
    Frosted-glass spray
    Masking tape
    Marker
    Craft knife

    1. Cover glass with masking tape. Lay the tape on as flatly and firmly as you can. Draw a design onto the taped glass.

    2. Cut out the design with a craft knife (figure B).

    3. Peel away the excess tape.

    4. In a well-ventilated area spray light, even coats of frosted-glass spray over glass. The frosted look will appear as the spray dries.

Tip: For a simpler project just tape off areas of the glass that you don't want frosted. You can tape off stripes or checks with masking tape. Or you can use other interesting shaped stickers to create different looks.

Products: Frosted-glass spray and glass pieces can generally be found at craft stores.
