Any color of flat spray paint can be used to create a dramatic, opaque look. In this demonstration, black was used for a striking presentation.

DIY Crafts host Debbie Stapley turns ordinary bottles into dramatic decorative statements using recycled glass bottles.

    Materials:

    Assorted empty bottles
    Flat-black spray paint
    Methylated spirit to remove glue

    1. Wash bottles thoroughly, removing labels and adhesive residue.

    2. Spray bottles evenly with flat paint. Tip: When spraying bottles or other small items indoors, set items in large cardboard box to spray. The box will contain fine particles of paint and protect walls and other surfaces.
