Plaster of Paris anchors the sheaf of wheat in the pot, permanently.

Dried flower arrangements can be as simple as this sheaf of dry wheat held in a terra cotta pot with Plaster of Paris, says show host Kim Haworth. Here's how to create the simple, country look:

    1. Mix Plaster of Paris to the consistency of sour cream.

    2. Set a sheaf of dry wheat in the center of the pot, stems held tightly together.

    3. Fill around the wheat with the Plaster of Paris mixture, mashing it down..

    4. To keep the Plaster of Paris from drying and cracking the pot, set 3-4 pieces of plastic drinking straw up and down in the wet mix.

    5. Once the Plaster of Paris is dry, hide it with some moss.

    6. Tie a raffia bow around the center of the sheaf of wheat.
