    Gardening Quick Tip

DIY Gardening expert Jessie Mack Burns has a great idea to help you save money on you next year's garden: In late summer or early fall, if you've planted a lot of annuals or perennials in your garden, harvest the seeds for next year. Break open the center of each flower and release the ripe seeds by rubbing them in the palm of your hand, picking out any leaves and debris. Store them in a brown paper bag in a cool, dry place until spring.
