    Replant newly divided plants in individual pots with additional water plant dirt .

    Place pea gravel or pebbles on top of soil to weigh it down and prevent dirt from floating away once they've been re-introduced to the pond.

    Return water plants to pond once it's been filled, keeping in mind plant placement for each; i.e. water lilies prefer still water, so be sure to place them away from waterfalls.
