    Magazine Rack Centerpiece with Crushed Terra-Cotta Pots

    Magazine Rack Vegetable Centerpiece

    Materials:

    1 clear plastic magazine rack (approximately 9" x 12" and 6" wide)
    3 radish bunches
    2 dozen kumquats
    6 bok choy plants
    Water
    Asparagus (two or three stalks)
    Flowers and plants of your choice* (calla lillies and greenery were used on-air)

    *Note: A variety of different flowers may be substituted -- such as kangaroo paw, baby's tears, ferns, bear grass, coleus, crimson tulips or roses and celosia.

    1. Place acrylic rack opening facing up.

    2. Layer the bottom with three bunches of radishes.

    3. Add remaining ingredients in the following order:

      • Kumquats

      • Bok choy

      • Water

      • Asparagus

      • Flowers.

      Magazine Rack Centerpiece with Mushrooms and Asparagus

      Materials:

      1 clear plastic magazine rack (approximately 9" x 12" and 6" wide)
      2 cups button or oyster mushrooms
      Half-dozen artichokes
      Asparagus
      River rocks
      2 dozen pussywillow branches

      1. Place acrylic rack opening facing up.

      2. Fill 1/3 full with river rock.

      3. Layer asparagus and artichokes over river rocks.

      4. Layer mushrooms over asparagus.

      5. Fill with water to cover vegetables.

      6. Arrange branches.

      Magazine Rack Centerpiece with Crushed Terra-Cotta Pots

      Materials:

      1 clear plastic magazine rack (approximately 9" x 12" and 6" wide)
      Terra-cotta pots
      Hammer
      Safety goggles
      Moss
      Any long-stemmed flowers (yellow roses were used on-air)

      Wear a pair of safety glasses or goggles while breaking terra-cotta pots with a hammer.

      Place the terra-cotta pieces, along with moss, in the magazine rack, which is turned upside down.

      Add the long-stemmed flowers. Be sure to distribute evenly.
