    Tips:

    • Keep your grout stain-free by applying a high-quality grout sealer soon after the grout has completely dried.

    • You can bridge the gap between tile flooring and baseboards by installing shoe molding around the perimeter of the room.

    • Tiles of the same style purchased at different times probably won't match each other perfectly. If your tiles come from more than one batch, mix the batches before you begin to evenly distribute color.

    • Question: When shopping for a new home, what percentage of first-time homeowners choose manufactured housing each year?

      A. 3 percent
      B. 10 percent
      C. 17 percent
      D. 23 percent

Answer: C -- Of those who purchase a new home, almost 17 percent of first-time homeowners choose manufactured housing.

    • An electronic water level is the perfect tool for setting up large spans, like manufactured homes or deck joists. Just mount the level at the desired height and slowly raise the opposite end of the hose until you hear the tone.

    • Particleboard sub floors may be easily damaged by moisture. If you're purchasing a new manufactured home or remodeling an older model, upgrade to plywood for durability and moisture protection.
