    HVAC and Ceilings

    Tips:

    • If you have a forced air furnace, you can freshen your entire home by putting a couple of room deodorizers in the return air duct of a large room. The furnace fan will do the rest.

    • Items placed on top of your HVAC fan will restrict air flow and could damage the unit. Keep the area clear at all times.

    • Ironically, duct tape is no good for use on ducts! For a superior and lasting seal, always use metal duct tape.

    • Before you run out and buy an extension pole for your paint roller, check the handle of your shop broom, it may be a perfect fit.

    • A little household vinegar added to your plaster mix will give you extra curing time to tackle your first plaster project successfully.

    • When you run your heater, reversing the direction of your ceiling fans can help you fight rising utility costs by circulating heat from the ceiling back to where you can feel it.
