    Upgrading heating / air-conditioning unit

Keeping dust and spiders out of a house

Dealing with the heat from a floor furnace

    Tips

    • Soak your new oil paintbrushes in linseed oil for a day, and they'll last longer and clean up easier.

    • After you've cleaned your brushes, dip them in a final rinse containing fabric softener. That will keep them as soft as new.

    • If you lower your thermostat's heat setting in the winter, you can expect to save about 2 percent per degree on your heating expenses.

    • Buy furnace filters by the carton and label each one with the sequential months as a reminder to replace them regularly.

    • There is almost 1/2 mile of strand wire in a hundred feet of four-foot-high chain link.

    • Always have your property marked for all underground wires and pipes before beginning to dig for your fencing project.
