It offers more water protection in the event of an overflow.
- Before putting down new vinyl flooring, make sure that the subfloor is free from dirt, polish, paint, spills and plaster bits. Imperfections will cause the vinyl to deteriorate from the underside.
- A magnetic door-catch will keep a creepy door from slamming shut unexpectedly. Attach it where the bottom edge of the door meets the baseboard.
- Use sheets of waxed paper to keep clamps and wood-blocks from sticking to your project.
- A deck of playing cards can help you smooth a curved surface. Wrap the deck with sandpaper, hold it on edge, and press it firmly against the surface. The cards will conform to the shape and sand it evenly.
