Finding time to detail your car can be a challenge. Here are a few tips to help you get the job done quickly.

    • Start by vacuuming the interior (figure A). Remove floor mats and move seats forward and backward for better access.

    • For the dash and doors, use a wet micro fiber cloth (figure B). There's no need to rinse. For quick touch ups, keep a few in your glove box.

    • When using a spray cleaner, avoid splatters by applying the cleaner directly to your cloth. Be careful not to get any on the instrument panels as some cleaners may fog the plastic.

    • For hard to get areas, use a paintbrush or damp cotton swab to remove dust and grime (figure C).

    • When cleaning windows, first lower the windows slightly and clean the top edge. Then, close and clean the remainder. Use vertical strokes on the outside and horizontal on the inside. That way if you have any streaks, you'll know which side they're on.
