Materials: Filtering faucet
Teflon tape
Adjustable wrench - Before removing the old faucet, turn off the water supply and relieve any pressure.
- Disconnect the supply lines (figure A) and remove the mounting hardware.
- Lift out the old faucet and thoroughly clean the surface.
- With the threaded shank in back, insert the new faucet through the center hole (figure B).
- Reach under the sink, place the mounting bracket around the shank and supply lines, and tighten the mounting nut onto the bracket.
- Carefully straighten the faucet's supply lines and wrap the threads of the compression fittings with Teflon tape (figure C). Connect the existing hot and cold supply lines to the new faucet.
- To connect the sprayer, slide the hose guide into the sprayer hole. Screw the locknut over the shank on the underside of the sink (figure D). Feed the spray hose through the guide and connect it to the supply line.
- Turn the water back on, check for leaks and tighten the connections until they stop.
- Flush the faucet for 15 seconds.
- Insert a new filter (figure E) into the faucet head, slide the free end into the spout and lock it into place.
- Reset the filter life indicator by pushing the button three times. Flashing green lights indicate that your filter is functioning properly.
Note: This filtering faucet removes many harmful contaminants found in tap water while leaving fluoride in, and it's much less expensive than bottled water.
