Create your own watercolor bouquet easily -- by coloring stickers!

Add a delicate appearance and elegant effect to your stickers with this technique from guest Andrea Grossman.

    Materials:

    8 modules Slivers, Soft Shades
    1 module Vellum Vases
    2 modules Spring Blooms
    2 modules Rose Garden
    12" x 12" Sage Paper
    (3) 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" Citron Paper
    3-1/2" x 5-7/8" Citron Paper
    2-3/4" x 5-3/8" Cream Paper Double-sided tape
    Scissors and craft knife
    Rubbing alcohol
    #10 round synthetic brush
    Watercolor pencils

    To create the vases:

    • First start by coloring in vases using watercolor pencils. Color along the outside edges and leave a little of the true color of the sticker showing through. This will give the vases more depth. Do not apply a lot of pressure when coloring since vellum is thin. Another thing to keep in mind, the harder the pressure, the darker the color is.

    • Once you have colored in your vases, take your brush and wet it in the alcohol so that it is just damp. Then carefully start brushing it over your vases. The alcohol will activate the watercolor pencils. To keep your brush from getting to dirty or spoiling your colors, periodically go back and re-dampen your brush and wipe it clean on a paper towel. While the sticker is still wet, you can use the brush to blend in colors or drag through them to create streaks. Also you can go back with the pencils and draw in more patterns and then gently blend them in with the brush.. Stickers should try fairly quickly since alcohol was used. Place the stickers aside to dry.

    • Start by mounting your photos on the 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" pieces of citron paper. Then use the Yellow Sliver Design Lines to trim the edges of the paper and the photos. Next, build the journaling panel by adhering the remaining piece of citron paper and the cream piece of paper together. Trim the edges of the paper the same way as the photos. Select a vase, decorate it with flowers stickers, and place down on the panel to finish. Complete the page by arranging photos and journaling panel as desired.
