Videography can capture the sights and sounds of your wedding.
Wedding videographer Randy Meritt says good wedding videography is "all about the bride." Meritt says that any videographer that doesn't understand this key point, probably won't capture the right moments on video. Here, Meritt offers his tips for obtaining the best videography for your money.

    • Ask to see a sample of his or her work. Ideally, the videographer should have professional experience.

    • Make sure the videographer works with a quality sound system (achieving good audio is the most difficult task), wireless mics, a digital camera, and a good editing system (editing is the most time-consuming task).

    • Make sure the videographer won't leave the wedding and reception until you do.

    • Get a signed contract.

If using a friend or family member, Meritt says to make sure the appointed person uses newer equipment and a tripod. Meritt adds that an amateur videographer can produce a better video by getting as close to the subjects as possible -- the more the videographer has to zoom, the less stable the shot becomes.
